I love a winter beach – there is something so refreshing about wrapping up warm, wellies on and heading to the beach. I am pretty lucky we live quite close to a few beaches and we go quite often, the girls love it. So last week on the last day of half term we pulled on our hats and coats and headed to New Brighton beach to meet friends and have a good play.
It was such a lovely morning cold and fresh and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. We built some sandcastles and collected shells, we drew a race track in the sand and had a good run around. We giggled and chased each other until we had rosy cheeks and cold noses.
So many people think of beaches as places to visit in the summer, but they are so much fun when it’s cold too. I’ve lived near the sea all my life and can honestly say I’ve been for beach walks more on cold days than hat. It looks like you had a lovely time #MyCapturedMoment
I actually think I prefer a cold beach all wrapped and you usually have the whole beach to yourself. Thanks for your comment Claire x
I think I prefer a winter beach, all wrapped up and then a hot drink afterwards! Thanks for your comment x
Thanks lovely. We are both very lucky! x
How fun! The beach is a perfect place to let the children run free and burn off some energy. Your little girl does look like she has a cold nose though!
xx
I know they feel so free on the beach! Thanks for your comment x
I couldn’t agree more, there’s nothing more British or refreshing than wrapping up for a winter walk along a beautiful grey beach. These shots are so cute! Thank you for linking up to #MyCapturedMoment xx
Thanks Heledd x
Oh, I love going to the beach at anytime of the year. But actually going in the cold winter months is one of my favourite things. I adore all these photographs and it looks like you an absolutely fabulous time. It sounds fun. #MyCapturedMoment. Hugs Lucy xxxx
