Buying Artwork at Wychwood Art

We are in desperate need for some artwork for our living room. It is such a big space and the walls look really bare. I always struggle when choosing some art. I don’t feel like I know enough about art, I can never really decide on what I like and what will suit my home. And so my walls have stayed bare. Then I was introduced to Wychwood Art.

What is Wychwood Art?

Wychwood Art is a contemporary art gallery. You can buy art online and from their Cotswold art gallery in Deddington. They also sell at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea, London in March each year. Wychwood Art represent over 350 contemporary artist. Therefore as you can imagine there is a lot of choice including limited edition art prints. The artwork they sell also varies in price. So whatever your budget there will be something available for you.

The Website is really easy to navigate. You can browse the artwork by artists, artwork under £100, original paintings and art prints. I love that you can filter the artwork by price as it allows you to only view what you can afford.

The artwork is beautiful. You can choose from abstract art, landscapes, animals there so much to choose from. I honestly didn’t know what to choose or what I even was looking for, I think shopping for art can be like that, especially if you are a novice like myself. You want something but not sure what.

Artwork by Katie Edwards

The art work I chose ‘A pair of flamingoes‘ by Katie Edwards. It is edition of 50. Measuring H 20cm x W 20 cm (this is something I always forget to check. The artwork was a lot smaller that expected. So if you are new to buying artwork online remember to check the measurements!). The piece is described as ‘Colourful and fun illustration representing True Romance in the animal world.’ It is hand printed by Katie Edwards and signed, numbered and titled by the artist. Katie Edwards had quite a few pieces online on Wychwood Art that I kept going back too. I particularly loved ‘Walking the Wainwrights‘ and ‘Sunset Kitesurf‘ which are both now on my wish list.

I absolutely love this print. Every time I look at it, it brings a smile to my face. Which now I realise is what artwork is supposed to do, make you happy.

I have been gifted this piece from Wychwood Art in exchange for a honest review.
