People often say to me, it must be really tough getting all 3 children up and out in time for Meme to get to school, but, truthfully, it isn’t. I find working to a deadline easier, we have a morning routine and we tend to stick to it. However, getting us all out at the weekend can be a different story.
Saturday was one of those days when it took forever for us all to get out the house. We went on a road trip to the Welsh seaside resort Llandudno. We arrived and the girls wanted to scoot, ten minutes later Harri wanted to go the beach so we took scooters back to the car and went to the beach. Ten minutes later Meme needed the toilet so we left the beach to find a toilet. Alfie then needed feeding so we went to a cafe. This is pretty much how our whole day went.
Before we knew it, it was dark, literally a day gone in a blink of an eye. The calmest part of the day was the walk back to the car along the prom with Harri leading the way (anyone else’s child obsessed with torches?).
These can definitely be the hardest days at times but they are also the days we will look back on and laugh about, the days we will remember.
I know what you mean about days like these! #mysundayphoto
oh yes, life with three little ones can be tough, but there are always the good times too.
ah sounds like a typical holiday for us too #mysundayphoto
Llandudno is just gorgeous isn’t it? We were there on Thursday and it was so wet and windy. Still an amazing day though! Hope you got better weather than us 🙂
Haha I can totally relate! Keeping three children happy is hard work sometimes but like you say as long as you keep your sense of humour they will be he days we remember for all the right reasons xx
A lovely look at the prom at Llandudno, I am with you all the way on the routine thing. I have to have this to get all mine out. Easier now they are older of course as I just shout instead of having to help them!
I struggle with routine for one which is hilarious because of work and nursery schedules and I dread the school days because of this. Despite how the day went it’s always nice when you’ve been out isn’t it x #TheOrdinaryMoments
Life with tiny ones can seem like such a blur at times can’t it? Lovely photo by the way (and the torch obsession made me laugh!) 😀 #sundayphoto
As the children get older these days will get easier – but they will still be the ones you remember. It sounds like a day the girls would have loved! x
It gets easier as they get older we are just in that position where our eldest can make his own breakfast before school that alone helps so much. Life with little ones seems to go too quickly in a blur I swear it. #ordinarymoments
I definitely think we all thrive best on routine and structure too! They definitely will be the days you remember though like you say. x
I remember those days… now mine are 17 and 13 but it seems like only yesterday like was like this

I totally agree that lovely lazy weekends are great but trying to get out seems like a mision compared to school days! What is that all about?!
I find it harder getting out on time when my partner is home to help! Hes awful at dawdling
I know exactly what you mean…it is tough to even rouse them from sleep, and they are in the single digits! #mg xo
I have had and will keep having many days that turn into a blur of chaos. I find that if I embrace it and just let things flow I accept it better. There are moments I feel like I am failing and nothing is going to plan, then I am like ‘Oh well stuff the plan’ and I real more. Once as soon as I relax the kids read and we all have a better time. Routines are great, but we have to accept sometimes our best plans can go out the window! Adam used to always poo right as I was getting Aspen in the car to get to school, drove me nuts. #mg
