Lockdown with three children has not been easy. When the school closures were announced I knew it was going to hard keeping all three of them entertained at home. I needed to find creative toys that firstly wont be break the bank and will keep them entertained for longer than five minutes.  I have been sent So Sand DIY to review so I was eager to see if it ticked all of the boxes.

I enjoy toys and games that area little creative. That enables them to use their imaginations. More importantly that gets them together and away from screens. There are lots of So Sand Toys that you can buy. We are reviewing the  So Sand DIY Satisfying Sand Case which retails at £19.99.

The set includes:

A tool case, 4 surprise cutting tools, 3 bags of sand, 3 bags of decorations and 3 magic sand components.

First Impressions

I wasn’t really sure what to expect. My children have never really had any sand toys so I was a little worried it would get all over the place but rest assured it didn’t. Due to their being 3 bags of sand each of my children could play with a bag each. First of all you choose what colour you would like to dye your sand. You then add the colour to your sand and play around with it until it is completely dyed. The colours to choose from are really vibrant. Yellow, turquoise and pink. Decorations are also supplied to add a little sparkle to your sand which my kids were especially delighted with.

All three of my children then happily used the cutting tools provided to create cakes and sushi and other wonderful shapes. It is great to see them playing together and using their imaginations to come up with some different creations.

The tool case that we received was perfect. It was a good size and sturdy. Allowing the children to keep all of their sand toys together so that they can play with it again. Also any future So Sand toys can be stored in their also.

Overall Thoughts.

My children enjoyed So Sand DIY. It kept them entertained and it was lovely to watch them play together. Priced at £19.99 it was without a doubt worth it. I will definitely be exploring more of the So Sand toys. I should add it was not messy at all and easy to clean away.
