2015

So we have almost come to the end of another year. Like a lot of people I always feel quite sad at this time, maybe because it makes me aware of how fast the years are passing by – sometimes I just want to press pause and just take it all in.

2014 was a sad year for me and my family, we lost far too many loved ones. We were ready to see the back of it and very hopeful for 2015.

Of course, there are bad and good bits in every year and 2015 has been no exception.  There have been heart breaking life changing moments but there has also been so much joy.  Milestones reached, memories made and new friends found.

2015 saw us start our love affair with Centre Parcs, we went in January and adored it, we can’t understand why we didn’t go sooner. I even enjoyed riding a bike! In fact we loved it that much we went back in June and are booked to go again in 2016.

I started my health mission this year, joining the gym and cutting out sugar. 2015 was the first year since having my girls that I started to feel better about myself and my body. I have lost my way a bit the last few months but I aim to get back on it in the new year.

This has been the year that my baby Harri found her voice, her constant chatter melts my heart, she is such a character and I just love her so much.  My big brave girl Meme started school, such a big step for her, a learning curve for all of us. I look at her now and she seems so grown up, she is reading and writing and just continues to amaze me. And as for me, I have started to blog, starting seriously in September – I now have 3 months worth of stories, pictures and memories all recorded here and I am so pleased and proud I have done it. I hope to continue and be sitting here next year with 12 months of our life recorded.

So much has happened and quite a lot has changed. Who knows what 2016 will bring, new friends, new babies, new adventures….

So as the clock strikes midnight tomorrow, I will raise my glass and wish you all a Happy New Year, may it be filled with love, laughter and family. (Alternatively I will be fast asleep in bed – both options sounds really appealing!)
