It has been such a lovely weekend after what has been a stressful week.
I was meeting my sisters and my niece and nephew on Saturday but rain was forecast and sometimes its a struggle to think of things to do when the weather isn’ t great. We decided to meet in Liverpool and go for some lunch at the Albert Dock and potter around the Liverpool museums. The Albert dock is a lovely area of Liverpool with little shops and lots of restaurants, it is usually a place where tourists go to visit. There is the Tate art gallery and The Museum of Liverpool (which is fab!), both of which are really child friendly and interactive – I used to take my girls there often when they were babies.
We went for some lunch in Gusto. It was lovely and our waiter was brilliant with the Children – it makes such a difference when the kids are happy. We then had a walk around playing in the museums, climbing on some superlambananas (my girls love these) and making some Liverbird hats in the Museum of Liverpool. It was a lovely day spending time with my family.
Our Sunday started with a little walk to a local seafront, we live quite close and go often, there is not much there except some cafes but there is a long wall which the girls love walking along. We finished the morning at our favourite cafe – eating, playing and watching the world go by.
A perfect weekend.
Aww looks and sounds like you had a lovely weekend with family, despite the weather! #pointshoot

Great photos! And gorgeous coats (Ted baker?) #pointshoot
Sounds like a lovely weekend. We live in north Wales not a million miles from Liverpool so also enjoy the dock areas and museum. Like you say, they great for the kids as they’re so interactive these days. (Potty Adventures) #whatevertheweather

A family friendly eatery makes so much difference to time out doesn’t it. Sounds like you all had a lovely time #whatevertheweather
I’ve never been to Liverpool, but it looks like such a great city. I may have to venture up north with my kids one day. They’ve never been further north than Lincoln (where my Dad once lived). Sarah #WhateverTheWeather
