Things I’m loving November

Things I’m loving November

I think my picture sums up November, it has been a muddy puddles and wellies month. It has been so wet and miserable.

However, I do quite like the month of November starting with Bonfire night and ending with the lead up to Christmas.

Here are some of the things that I have been loving the past month…

Beauty

I have recently started using the No 7 skincare, I have been using the Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream, and Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Serum  and I really like them, my skin is prone to feeling dry and chapped in the winter months, however it is feeling really healthy at the moment using the No 7 products.

I am also trying to make an effort to moisturise, I am really good in the summer but come the winter I never get round to doing it – the girls are on board too with us all trying to keep our skin nice and soft, they actually love moisturising! We have been using the Body Shop body moisturiser which smells lovely and isn’t too greasy.

Home

My hall has finally been painted, we had a little trouble with the colour as we chose Violet White thinking it was a light subtle colour for our long dark hall.  However, violet white looked really dark so we quickly changed to Cotton Breeze which was perfect, just what I imagined!

Fashion

It has been a wet cold month so my warm winter hat and coat has been on!

I also went to a party and bought a new dress for it, not my usual style but i really liked it! Sometimes it is nice to step out of your comfort zone.

Food

I have been trying to get back on the healthy eating after a junk food October and before the indulgence that December brings. I have been eating a lot of Madeleine Shaw’s recipe, including Prawn and Pepper Courgette Stir Fry (which is delicious) and apple ring recipe, which I have had lots of. Her website is full of easy healthy recipes.

And so that is November all done and dusted, I am very excited for the magic of December, the smell of Christmas trees, the twinkly lights, the hustle bustle of people rushing around buying gifts and most of the excited faces of my girls with the mention of Father Christmas. I simply can’t wait!

  1. Oh I love your dress, it’s a lovely colour. Wellies would sum up our November too. I’m with you on the violet white, I’ve been trying to find a white for our kitchen, it’s been a nightmare xx
