After a really lovely week away in Yorkshire we were looking forward to a weekend at home. Sleeping in, pottering around and generally just enjoying our home comforts.
We had a lazy Saturday morning with the girls sleeping in until 9am!!! Allowing me to have a hour catching up on some blogging (which had been neglected all week!).
We then went for a little local walk. The weather was crazy I even had a winter hat on at one point! Rain, wind and sunshine – what else would we expect from August? It was nice getting out though and we soon warmed ourselves stopping for a hot chocolate in our local cafe.
I love my holidays…but there is no place like home!
Did you have a nice weekend?

Beautiful photos, the girls look so cute in the wind photo
The weather has been so mixed over the last few weeks….
Rain one day then glorious sunshine the next!
Aww! Those wellies are so cute x
I know its been a bit mad. x
This definitely looks like a great way to spend the summer days, it can sometimes be easy to overlook the joys of relaxing at home. I love the shot of the girls with the wind in their hair, it reminds me so much of some shots of mine from the cliffs and the best way to end a family walk is definitely with hot chocolate at the local café!
Thanks for linking up with me on #CountryKids
Thanks Fiona. xx

Oh I love your photos, the pic of the girls together is gorgeous and your coffees look so good! The weather always seems to be a bit crazy in August these days. Sounds like a lovely weekend 🙂 #countrykids
Thanks Steph. The drinks were delicious!
Love the picture of the girls bracing themselves against the wind! I always enjoy being home after a trip.#countrykids
Thanks lovely, I am always ready to come home after a week away.
Love that photo of the girls in the wind! They must have strong legs to keep them, standing in that! Looks like you had a great time, even if you did need hot chocolate in August! Thanks so much for linking up to #Whatevertheweather 🙂 x
