Summer Sundays

Simple Summer Sundays – moments from our weekends.

If you follow my blog or Instagram feed you will know that we love adventures!! We spend the majority of our weekends out and about exploring and playing outdoors which we all love. However the last few months I have started to feel a little stressed on a Sunday. Life is so busy and I always feel that I need to get organised and prepared for the week, so as much as I try to forget about the long list in my head and enjoy the weekends, I always feel a little bit stressed come Sunday.

However this weekend I felt free, we all did. With the start of the Summer holidays and a few days off work I finally felt that I could relax. After a few days of rain we woke up to some sunshine! So we decided to drive to the beach for a afternoon of sandcastles and dipping our toes in the sea. It was lovely, really lovely. Alfie was in his element at the beach pottering around and heading straight to the sea where he proceeded to fall straight in. The girls were playing, paddling and collecting shells. It was just nice and chilled and for once I wasn’t worrying about everything that needed to be done or rushing home to start the tea. It was a good day and the perfect way to start the holidays.

  1. I can totally empathise with that Sunday stress. I used to get that terribly but now I no longer work on Monday it is much better. Your photos have captured the perfect family day out. I hope Alfie wasn’t too upset by his dunking. Thank you for linking up to #PointShoot 📸 Have a great summer! 💕

  2. Gorgeous photos – what a lovely start to the summer holidays! I love a chilled out afternoon of paddling and sandcastles on the beach…although actually I spend most of the time running around after a toddler at present! 🙂 #CountryKids

  3. What a lovely, chilled out looking afternoon and what fantastic photos! I enjoy running around after my toddler on the beach but I’m looking forward to more chilled visits in the future where she’ll stay still for more than 2 seconds to build a sandcastle 🙂 #CountryKids

  4. Gorgeous photos and so worthwhile getting out. No one ever looks back and thinks how great it was preparing for the week ahead, it is fun Sundays with the family at the beach like this you remember. A lovely looking day, I hope you have many more over the holiday.
