Mila and Pheebs activity box

Getting crafty with Mila and Pheebs

My girls absolutely love some arts and crafts, especially Meme. She can spend hours cutting and gluing, colouring and making. I love watching her little imagination run wild creating pictures and models. I also love watching Harri trying to copy what her sister does – learning from her.

When I was given the opportunity to review a Mila and Pheebs stationery and activity box I knew my girls would be delighted. Now, if you are a stationery lover, Mila and Pheebs products are a must. Not only can you purchase stationery via their very pretty website but you can also sign up to a monthly box subscription (a one off box is also available – I have my eye on the ‘over the rainbow box’)

The good thing about these boxes is that they fit through your letterbox which is perfect, no worrying about waiting in for the parcel or missing it and having to go pick it up from the post office – it is all made nice and easy. The box arrived on a rainy Saturday morning which was just what we needed to keep 2 little girls entertained. I let my girls open the parcel and they were so excited when they saw all the goodies inside.

Each monthly box has a different theme, ours was ‘fun at the farm’. Inside the box there was:

  • Farm Animal Pencil and Eraser Topper
  • Iwako Cow Eraser
  • Farm Colouring in Sheets
  • Farm Animal Hand Puppet Kit
  • Farm Animal Shaped Crayons
  • Farmyard Foam Stickers
  • Farmyard Maze
  • Fun at the Farm Wordseach
  • Farm Notepad
  • Greeting Cards & Envelopes
  • Sheep Decoration Craft Pack
  • Cockerel Paperclip
  • Farmyard Foil Stickers

So yes, as you can see, there was a lot to keep both my girls busy for a while. Meme set to work straight away making the animal hand puppet which included threading the puppet together which is great for eye-hand coordination. Harri was excited by the greeting card and envelopes and, armed with the stickers, she got busy making some cards for her best friends Gabbi and Heidi. They both spent hours sticking and playing.

Me and the girls were really impressed with the craft box. There is so much to do in there it can be used various times throughout the month. The letterbox is so handy and compact, I actually carry it around in my bag for when we are out and about so, if we stop for lunch somewhere, the girls are entertained.

The products are also of an excellent quality but what I like even more is the idea of this little monthly treat right to your door. I know it would be something my girls would get excited about upon its arrival each month. Also, I love the fact it is a little surprise for the parent, as much as we love crafts, I do sometimes run out of ideas so this is perfect and provides children with something you may not have thought about.

If your little ones are as crafty as mine I would definitely recommend signing up for these products. To get you started I have a 10% discount code off any subscription, just use the code ‘memeandharri’ (valid until 31st March 2017)

We were gifted a Mila and Pheebs stationery and activity box in exchange for a honest review.

  1. What a lovely box of crafty goodies. Alice loves to do crafts and if you ask her what she wants to do its always top of the list. I love the hand puppet, they can make it and then play with it. To be able to carry it around too, is an extra bonus I am always trying to find things that I can take out to entertain the girls x

  2. I’m a huge fan of stationery too! This sounds like a great craft box, I’m really impressed by how much they’ve managed to fit into it. I have to admit I’m not the most crafty mum, but my son is starting to enjoy things like this more and more, so to have a box like this arrive every month sounds brilliant. I love the hand puppet – he’s so cute!

  3. I love packages that can fit through the letter box. We are constantly missing deliveries! I am also a stationary addict. Piglet is a bit young for this at the moment but it would be fab in a few years time

  4. This looks so much fun and I’ve not heard of the brand before, so I’ll have a look as one of my twins is arts and crafts made. She was just making birthday cards earlier today. Mich x

  5. Oh what a lovely subscription box. I haven’t heard of Mila and Pheebs before but I love the look of the farm box you got & there was so much in it! The piggy turned out really well, she did a lovely job on the stitching.

  6. What an amazing idea to deliver a craft box straight to your door. The girls look like they’ve had so much fun playing with them. The great thing about crafts is how many skills they are learning while feeling like they’re playing. I adored crafts as a child.
