The first month of the year all done. and the first full month as a family of 5. As predicted we have spent it pretty much in a newborn fog but it has been just lovely having our baby boy here with us, he is just gorgeous. As I pack up his newborn clothes that no longer fit him I know these early days are going to fly by so fast.
Beauty
There are such big bags under my eyes I am all about the concealer at the moment – I am using Benefit Bo-ing to help make me look a little more human.
I have finally got around to getting my hair dyed – it was a mess. I feel so much better and so much more like myself again!
Fashion
I have squeezed myself back into my jeans whoop whoop! I have also been wearing my new Topshop shirt which is so comfortable.
I am loving my new Harls & Ted sweatshirt which is so cosy I would wear it everyday if I could. The slogan couldn’t be more suitable for me right now!
My Alfie has been rocking some lovely baby grows too – we received so many beautiful girls from family, neighbours and friends. He is a very lucky boy and we are very thankful.
Home
We have spend the month redecorating our girls bedroom as part of the Inspired Wallpaper Valentine’s day campaign and I am delighted with the results – as are my girls!
I am also a little obsessed with bunches of daffodils and tulips – my house is full of them.
Life
It has been a busy sleepless month. We had a family trip to Centre Parcs which the girls loved – we go every year with my family and it really is just what we need to get through quite a dreary month. My husband left his job of 15 years to start a new challenge which is both exciting and scary in equal measures and as for me? I have spent many a day just holding and looking at my perfect little boy.
Blog wise I have lost my mojo a little but it is slowly coming back and whilst I have been a bit slow with my blog I have been making a little more effort with my Instagram feed. I am thinking of tackling Twitter in February (although I actually remember saying something similar last January!)
I am looking forward to February – one step closer to Spring and hopefully more sleep! Not forgetting valentines day and half term – which no doubt Meme will start counting down to any day now.
How has your month been?
Congratulations on your new arrival, the first month is so intense isn’t it? and I love Benefit Boing for my under eyes especially after sleepless nights.
Well done for getting back into your jeans and getting your hair done. These things can make you feel so good as a mum. I love the girls room and I just can’t believe Alfie is out of newborn clothes already. What a lovely month. Thank you for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove x
Getting your hair done is such a big thing when you are a mum isn’t it? I’m actually at the hairdressers now as I try and squeeze it into family life! Sounds like a lovely month with your baby boy. Xx #sharingthebloglove
