Happy List #9

Happy List #9

Oh my poor husband this week – one minute I am so emotional struggling to stop the tears and the next minute I am a real angry cat. I guess that the 2 posts that I published this week reflect these moods! I have struggled with my emotions this week, I think without really expecting it Baby Loss Awareness Week really made me feel… well sad. However I realise I am so lucky to have my 2 girls and another beautiful baby on the way so next week I am hoping to keep these emotions in check a little!!

Here is what has made me happy this week:

  • We have booked a holiday! Well actually my lovely sister booked it for us all – we are going to Spain next summer!! I feel it is a little crazy with a 6 year old, a 3 year and a 6 month old baby – but we are going to give it a whirl. Eek! I do feel excited though.
  • We have had another adventure this weekend to watch my lovely friend get married in Portmeirion. I was originally meant to be a bridesmaid but due to still suffering from pregnancy tiredness and sickness I thought it would be better for me to just attend as a guest and thankfully my friend was very understanding. We had such an amazing weekend and I was so pleased that we were there to be a part of her special day.
  • I met with my good friend with her 3 month old baby Willow and I had lots of lovely baby cuddles.
  • I bought a slow cooker! Everyone seems to be raving about them so I thought I would give it a go – let me know if you have any yummy recipes please!

So that is me for this week! How has your week treated you?

  1. I’m sorry you have been feeling out of sorts this week, I hope you are ok. Yay to the holiday though, it will be lovely to have it to look forward to when your baby arrives. I have confession to make, I brought a slow cooker in the January sale and its still in the box!! oops x

  2. Ahh a lovely positive post! How exciting you have booked your holiday! We have booked for next week and after the drama of our summer holiday I think we must be insane! And YAY for the slow cooker! I LOVE mine, couldn’t live without it especially through the winter! #TwinklyTuesday

  3. Sorry to hear you’ve been feeling off this week. But yay for holidays! We took Max to St Ives when he was 7 weeks old – looking back I think we were crazy, but it went really smoothly and it was actually a lovely time to have a break away from home. I think 6 months will be perfect for you all to get some sun and a change of scenery. You’ve reminded me we must dig out our slow cooker now autumn is setting in – I love a good slow cooker stew!

  4. I hope you are feeling better this week. I adore Portmeirion – not been for years! How exciting you’ve booked a holiday! We have one booked for next May and I cannot wait! Thank you for sharing in #HappyDaysLinky xx
