Half Term Countdown

Half Term Countdown

It’s been such a long week and each morning it is taking us a little bit longer to wake up and get ready for the day. We have such busy days with school and after school activities and, since the arrival of Alfie, we have been making the effort to walk to and home from school.

We have been taking our weekends a bit slower but they still always include a mini adventure somewhere, we tend to get a little cabin fever in this house if we stay inside for too long.

Meme is not a fan of sleep, as soon as she opens her eyes in the morning she has to get up and at bed time she never wants to go to sleep. Sometimes when I go into her room before I go to bed she is still awake! I remember when she started school all other parents were saying how tired out their children were after a full day in school, but not my Meme  – she was always looking for her next activity.

I took this picture yesterday on a trip to a local beach and my girl looks so pale and tired – she may not want to admit it but I think she is more than ready for a little rest. Roll on half term.

  1. I hope you have a lovely restful half term and Meme gets lots of rest. Fresh air is good too, sometimes you have to find the right balance and sleep will come naturally.

  2. Oh my eldest is just the same about going to sleep and she is permanently exhausted. When half term comes she always naps in the afternoon at least once or twice to catch up. I hope you all have a lovely half term.

  3. Oh bless her, Alice is the same and looks a bit pale this week. We are ready for half term too. Hang in there not long to wait until its our turn to have our girls home with us x #LivingArrows

  4. N never finds school any more tiring than being at home either. But at least he is pretty good about normal bedtime. It’s just the early morning wake ups! Hopefully she’ll get refreshed at half term #livingarrows

  5. My daughter is the same, once she’s up she has to get out of bed.. and so does everyone else haha! I hope she relaxes more over half term 🙂 x

  6. What a beautiful photo. Sometimes taking a weekend or two a bit slower than normal is exactly what is needed – after all its what the weekend is for! Hopefully your half-term break is what is needed!

  7. We’re on half term now and BOY did we need it! The children were exhausted and parenting was hard. I’m enjoying the slower pace that this week holds for us. I hope you enjoy your half term too and all get some rest! x

  8. Everyone says that the October and February half terms are the most needed, and the beginning of the summer holidays, I hope you all have a lovely week off, we are one of the few counties who don’t break up until next week x #LivingArrows
