Bank Holiday Fun

I was looking forward to the bank holiday weekend, I mean who doesn’t enjoy a four day weekend. However, I was a little concerned about the weather, it was pretty much forecast heavy rain for the whole weekend and, as a family who like to get out and about, I was starting to worry about how I was going to keep two little ones and a restless husband busy. Luckily, in our neck of the woods the weather was not bad, there were showers but also sunshine allowing us to run wild in the great outdoors, keeping us all very happy indeed.

It was lovely, we had some time with my sisters and the girls’ cousins, an Easter egg hunt and crafts in our happy place – Ness Gardens, a delicious, though not very traditional, Easter meal at Hicory’s with our family, finding eggs in our garden, a windy trip to the beach and a whole lot of chocolate – phew I’m exhausted just writing this! Here are some of our pictures.

  1. Yummy food and chocolate sounds good, we were pretty much the same, too much chocolate lol. I love your pics, a lovely post #TwinklyTuesday #pointshoot

  2. I’ve seen some lovely Easter Egg hunts around this weekend, glad you got out to enjoy yours, we had one at Coombe Mill I’m just writing up and managed it all before the heavens opened too. #Twinkleytuesday #PointShoot

  3. Sounds like a lovely Easter! It’s great you could attend an Easter egg hunt out doors. It was quite rainy here so we had ours in the house. We had a really lovely day though just the same. #TwinklyTuesday
