It is my first #littleloves of February and what a lovely week to start on – it’s half term! I have had such a lovely week off with my girls, it was so nice to wake up on Monday morning to the sun shining and not having to rush around.
Read
After having a few weeks out of it I have been catching up on some of my favourite blogs. Meme has also been busy reading her new book we bought on Wednesday, her reading is coming along so well, I am so proud of her.
Watched
Me and my Hubbie watched Doc Hollywood on Sunday, a rom com was definitely required with it being Valentines day. I have never seen it before and I really enjoyed it.
I also saw the trailer for the new Jungle Book film coming out in April and it looks fab. My girls are big fans of the Jungle Book so I know they will love the remake.
Heard
I have heard that one of my favourite books has been made into a film and is out in the Summer, it’s called ‘Me before You‘ and I am very excited to go and see it. Tissues at the ready.
I have also heard silence, my girls stayed in their Nana’s house on Monday night as I was working on Tuesday and my Mum was looking after them for me. Oh it was so quiet on Tuesday morning, I did not like it. It is funny, you crave for peace and quiet some days but when you get it you don’t like it.
Wore
Just my usual uniform of jeans and top – nothing exciting. I am having a little date night tomorrow so hopefully I will have something a little more exciting for next week.
Not sure if this counts but my Hubbie bought me a lovely blanket as he says I’m always cold, which is true, and I have been snuggled underneath it all week. I feel like I’m getting old, I used to get excited by new shoes and now it’s new blankets!
Made
I have been busy making plans with friends for this half term, I feel like I have not seen anyone in so long so I have had a lovely week catching up with old and new friends.
I also made a lovely Valentines meal at the weekend – such a lie really, it was the Marks and Spencer Dine in for £20 but it was delicious!
And Lastly
I’m hopefully going to get my hair cut tomorrow, I am in desperate need of a change but I know I will probably just get a trim. I am also meeting my best friend on Sunday for breakfast – I cant wait to see her.
Only one more week of February to go and then it’s officially Spring Hooray!!
Sounds likE you’ve had a busy one! I know what you meaning about craving the peace then it feeling a bit strange! You Gotta love a haircut to give you a boost! I need mine doing too but think it’ll have to wait until Easter! Blankets are what it’s all about I love snuggling under one in the evening! I have one for winter and one for summer-I just like to be cosy xx
I watched that trailer too and it looks fantastic, I’m loving all the new Disney remakes recently. I’m in need of a haircut too, just can never be bothered to get it done haha xx
I had no idea they were remaking the jungle book. That blanket s lovely. I know just what you mean about craving silence and then it feeling strange! Enjoy the last bit of half term.
I only read Me Before You recently and absolutely loved it. Can’t wait for the film, although I’m not sure I’m brave enough to sit in the cinema to watch it as I’ll no doubt make a complete fool of myself by balling my eyes out! Ha ha nothing wrong about getting excited about blankets, you sound like me! Have a lovely time with your friend. x
Wasn’t it lovely not rushing around in a morning? I think that’s one of the best things for me, usually I’m stressing about getting everyone out on time.
I love your blanket, we bought one for the lounge in November and it’s the used everyday for me and O to snuggle under. Enjoy the last couple of days of the hols. Xxx
I hope the hair cut went well! That blanket looks lovely, perfect for this time of year! x
Thanks Donna – it is amazing how a hair cut can make you feel so much better. x
Oh I will be taking lots of tissues for sure! Thanks lovely x
