Getting ready for the cold weather with Simply Hike

I think this wet and cold weekend has definitely reminded us that the colder weather is on its way back. I have been busy packing away my  summer clothes and thinking about getting ready for the winter months.

After the last few glorious months I am actually looking forward to the new seasons. The darker evenings, warming up with hot chocolate and the crunching of the leaves under your feet. As long as you are prepared for the colder weather then it can be just lovely.

The cold and wet weather doesn’t stop us from getting out and about. My children (and husband) are just happier outdoors, exploring and adventures are what they are all about. That is why we have been searching Simply Hike to ensure that when the cold and rain arrives we are ready!!

Alfie was our main concern, he is 20 months but still extremely wobbly. He hates being in his pram and I want him to have the same freedom in the Winter that he has had in the Summer. Didrikson has the perfect solution, a baby borga coverall which is a shower resistant all in one suit designed to keep little ones warm and comfortable. This will be perfect for my little adventurer. Didrikson also have some great coats for me, fashionable whilst practical. Ideal for a wet school run or the cold afternoons spent in the park.

My husband has had his eye on this Osprey Talon 11 bag for ages and we finally purchased it last week and got to test it out on Sunday when it rained all day. On days out it is so much easier to put everything we need in here rather than lug a nappy bag around with us.

Of course this colder weather wouldn’t be complete without a warm woolly hat – my husband got himself this gorgeous blue Dakine beanie but I love it so much I found myself wearing it on Sunday!!

Are you ready for the colder weather?

  1. Simply hike have some really great products, (I’ve worked with two them in the past and loved the service and quality of the products). the coats look perfect for what will be no doubt a cold winter again.

  2. You can already feel the chill in the air and them coats look great to battle it. I’m actually looking forward to Autumn, it’s my favourite season x

  3. Your right, the colder weather seems to have set in now – I’ve also packed away all my summer clothes, boo 👎 I much prefer summer to autumn and winter LOL – so I might jet off somewhere hot soon x
