2016 – The Ordinary Moments

Happy New Year! 2016 can you believe it. A new year, a new month, a fresh start. I feel excited for the year ahead. Now I’m not great with resolutions, last year one of my resolutions was to wear lipstick every day and honestly, by the 2nd January I had failed. Rubbish I know.

I have high hopes this year, here are my resolutions for 2016:

  • To be brave and believe in myself. I am going to work hard on my blog and see where it takes me. What have I got to lose?
  • To establish myself on social media, in order to achieve the above I feel I really need to join some social media platforms,  I am not a big social media person (blog post coming soon) and I know this is the resolution I am going to struggle with but I am going to try and see how I feel about it.
  • Once a week to cook something new and healthy for my family – I feel like I get stuck in a rut with meals and need to make more effort to try new recipes.
  • To get up earlier – this may sound silly but I don’t get up until about 8am, I have 2 kids and have to leave the house by 8.35 to take Meme to school. It is the most stressful half hour ever. I have no time for anything. I want to get up and have a cuppa and have a minute before the craziness of the school run.

Let’s see how I get on…

  1. Natalie they sound like pretty damn good resolutions to me!! Good luck with the social media one-mine should be stay off it more-lol! I’m usually good at getting some written down but have spent last few days cuddled up with LB who has a temp what is it with the new year illnesses?! X

  2. I think these are perfect resolutions lovely, achievable but fantastic. I definitely think you should concentrate on your blog and social media more, I am not expert but shout if you ever need any advice. Are you on twitter? I looked for you the other day and couldn’t find you! And I also have a goal to cook nicer and healthier food for my family too, my girls are such fuss pots and as a result we cook the same things most weeks as we know they will eat them. I want to try and make them try more as at least they are at the age now where mostly they will try new things even if it is just the tinest bit. 😉 x

    1. Thank you Katie, although you might regret offering – I love your blog so I will have you harassed! Not on Twitter but I know I need to get on it, although I have surprised myself with how much I love Instagram so hopefully I will feel the same way about Twitter. It is so hard to think of new healthy meals each night, need to get the cookbook out! x

  3. Good luck with your endeavours! I am rubbish with keeping up with social media, especially when everything other than FB are mainly strangers and then I feel awkward knowing what to say haha Grow your blog, it takes you to amazing opportunities and I love the people I meet x #ordinarymoments x
