The Santa Experience Church Farm is a great Christmas event to help get you in the festive mood.
On arrival to Church Farm there is a tractor ready to take you into Church Farm forest where Santa Claus drops in to visit on his way to the North Pole. The tractor ride is magical and is decorated with fairy lights which look amazing. On the tractor ride your are asked to provide your child’s name and Christmas gift that they would like.
Once the tractor ride is finished, we arrive at the forest. There is a path lit with twinkle lights and snakes deeper into the forest. The Children are provided with a lantern to hold and together we all make our way along the path.
It felt so special and the girls were so excited being out in the dark in the woods.
Along the path you are greeted by lots of characters interacting with the children. Our favourite is Rudolf who addresses the Children individually, asking if they were on the good list. There is a big snowman who we sang jingle belles with. Eventually the path led to a Father Christmas and his sleigh.
The girls were so excited, especially when Father Christmas had the nice list detailing the girls’ presents. After a little chat, a gift of chocolate and a family picture on the sleigh, we made our way along the path to have mulled wine and mince pies before boarding the tractor back to our car. It is worth noting that you cannot take prams on the Santa Experience. Babies under 2 are free of charge but you will need to carry them or have them in a baby carrier.
The Santa Experience lasts for around 50 minutes. Which I think is enough for the Children especially as it takes place in the evening in the cold and sometimes rain.
The event is available during the weekends throughout December. Remember that you do need tickets for the Santa Experience and this Christmas event sells out pretty fast.
