My dream bucket list

My dream bucket list

Life is about adventures. Exploring the world as much as you can, seeing new places, experiencing new cultures and seeing what the world has to offer.

Destination2.co.uk asked me the question ‘what is on my dream bucket list for 2018?’ It didn’t take me long to think about it. Whilst there are so many amazing places I hope to see one day, I do believe that if I had the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world it would be to the stunning islands of the Maldives.

Me and my husband had planned to spend our honeymoon in the Maldives. We had grand plans to spend two weeks together in this amazing romantic place. We researched where we would stay and what we would do. We wanted to go snorkelling, see if we could spot some dolphins and, of course, go island hopping.

All that was left to do was book it. However, before we got the chance to book, we discovered that I was pregnant. Initially, we didn’t think this would stop us from going, however, after suffering extremely bad pregnancy sickness we decided that we may be better staying a little closer to home. Of course, we had the best time on our honeymoon, yet I still often wonder, now we have three children, if we will ever have the opportunity to visit this place of paradise.

So, for now, all I can do is dream of when I will walk upon the crystal white sands with the sun on my shoulders and take a dip in the sparkling turquoise waters. I can dream of sampling the delicious local foods and completely losing myself in the secluded and luxurious coral islands. I do hope that one day this dream will become a reality and me and my husband will visit this paradise….just a little later than expected.

  1. Your honeymoon plans sound wonderful! Did you ever get a chance to go after the baby? Congratulations on both, by the way!
