Moments from our Weekend – Some Spring Sunshine.

Moments from our Weekend – Some Spring Sunshine.

What a beautiful weekend it was. For the first time this year it actually felt like Spring.

It was a little bit of a strange weekend for us, my husband wasn’t feeling very well and we also woke up on Sunday morning to find Alfie had caught chicken pox! (Our poor boy is constantly sick since he started nursery). We had planned to spend the day vising my 3 day old niece so obviously these plans were scuppered (Me and my girls did get the chance to pop to Liverpool to meet baby Florence and she is beautiful)

However sickness very rarely keeps us down in this house and although our weekend was a little slower than usual it was nice to open up our patio doors and spend some time in the garden. We also managed a little bike/trike ride with our two youngest whilst Meme went to a pamper party.

I am hoping this sunshine continues as it makes such a difference doesn’t it?

My Alfie absolutely loves his trike!
Bike rides with my Harri – she is only four but is amazing on her bike.

  1. Looks like you guys had a lovely weekend 🙂 Yes, it’s definitely looking more like Spring, although I do wish the temperature would just be a little bit warmer 😉 #countrykids

  2. The sunshine really does make a difference, it makes everything look so much happier. I love the look of your plates of fruit, it reminds me of summer days! Well done Harri on her cycling, she looks a pro! Keeping up the fresh air on that amazing looking trike is the best medicine (after calamine lotion) for Alfie, hope the pox die down soon.

Thank you for sharing your weekend with me on #CountryKids

  3. Oh no chicken pox. Arrrhhh! The sunshine does make a difference though and I’m glad you still managed to get out. The fresh air will have done everyone good. Get well soon Alfie 💐 Thank you for linking up to #pointshoot 📷

  4. Oh no there is nothing worse than a sick hubby! Sometime I think it’s harder than dealing with sick kids 😉 I hope he is feeling better.
And I do hope Alfie is ok, chicken pox is no fun at all. My son got them when he was 18mths old… I am still not sure how my daughter & I didn’t catch them off him… #ExplorerKIds

  5. Awww hope he gets well soon. It seems like a curse as my son was like this before. Now he gets less of those viruses as I think he got it all in nursery too! And sunshine really changes everything so hope the warmer weather is here to stay! #countrykids

  6. Glad you were able to enjoy the spring sunshine in spite of the chicken pox. Harri looks like she was having fun on her bike. Hope Alfie is better soon x #countrykids

  7. Aw, hope he’s feeling better soon. I had the chicken pox when I was in high school so i tend to remember them more than most people. It can be quite uncomfortable. Looks like a nice weekend though and we too are enjoying the sunshine and some slightly warmer temps. #ExplorerKids

  8. Aww… poor Alfie. I hope he feels better soon. Although, it seem like it didn’t affect him much at all. I really wish we have more sunshine over here. xx

Thank you very much for linking up with us on #ExplorerKids
