Moments from our weekend.

Moments from our weekend.

Since the girls have started school our weekends are like a shining beacon. We look forward to them so much. Now I am back in work the weeks are so busy and those two days are needed just to take it all at a slower pace.

I want to try and make more effort to document our weekends together with a few words but mostly captures, as the saying goes a picture is worth a thousand words.

We had no plans this weekends. We have gotten into a routine of a Saturday to try and let Alfie have a morning nap before we go anywhere. Truthfully, Alfie is so clingy at the moment so those few hours nap allows me and my husband spend a little time with the girls.

We spent the rest of the weekend outdoors visiting two of our happy places Ness Gardens and Bodelwyddan Castle. On Sunday I joked to my husband that most Mums would be getting pampered somewhere whilst I was standing in a park wearing wellies. But truthfully i couldn’t think if a better way to spend Mother’s day. Just look how lucky I am.

These three just melt my heart
All the smiles for the weekend

  1. Aww I’m glad you had a fab weekend, the photos are gorgeous. I didn’t go in for the pampering either, we went to a butterfly farm that they both wanted to go to as my mother’s day treat 😉

  2. Aw, that sounds like a wonderful Mother’s day. I typically choose a family outing for Mother’s Day. I love the idea of having fun and making memories together more than sitting around the house or a spa all by myself. #ExplorerKids

  3. Looks like a lovely weekend and definitely the perfect way to spend Mother’s Day. I love how happy your children look in your photos 🙂 #countrykids

  4. It looks absolutely perfect, this was the Mother’s Day I wanted. However my unobliging teens wanted nothing like this and I ended up going on a long moorland hike with just one of them. If you ever question why you are in wellies in a field with your kids again just remind yourself it won’t last forever and trust me you’ll miss it when they would rather go to Primark! Beautiful photos of a lovely family day.

Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKids
