In search of some blue sky

In search of some blue sky

Oh I just love a bank holiday and there is two this month – yippee! I am hoping we will start to get a little bit warmer weather though – I am constantly cold and we are all back in our winter coats…sigh.

We woke on Saturday to a very miserable morning but we could see some blue skies in the distance so we decided to jump in the car and go search for it… I make it sound so easy, it actually took a few hours to get everyone ready, pack a picnic and be on our merry way.

We ended up driving 40 minutes to Rhyl, the sun was shining and it looked beautiful though it was still freezing when we left the car (I’m not sure what I was expecting!). We got the scooters out for the girls and they had a little scoot along the prom. We then went for a play on the beach, which we ended up staying on for hours. It was so lovely there, we built sandcastles, searched for shells and the girls pretty much entertained themselves – it was lovely to watch them play together.

We ended the day with hot drinks and cake in a cafe before heading home with two happy but tired little girls (and a bucket full of shells).

Here are some of our pictures:

  1. It may have been cold but it looks really warm and sunny! I wish we’d found more blue sky. Lovely sand photos #pointshoot
