Half term, dungarees and baking disasters #littleloves

So its been half term this week and boy was we ready for a break! It’s been a really lovely having the girls with me all week  – although obviously it’s had its testing moments and the weather has been really rubbish!

Here are my #littleloves

Watched

I caught a bit of the Brits on Wednesday evening – I have not watched it for years. I rather enjoyed it. I do love a bit of Coldplay.

We also spend Sunday evening watching Pinocchio on Harri’s request, I keep telling her if she tells lies her nose will grow like Pinocchio so I think she was genuinely intrigued to see who this Pinocchio guy was!

Read

My Grazia magazine – My husband took the children (I am so used to saying girls I keep having to correct myself now I have a boy) to see family on Sunday afternoon so I had a couple of hours to myself. After a quick clean I sat down with a cuppa and read my favourite magazine. It was pretty perfect – the simple things hey.

Heard

Half term week means I’ve heard a whole lot of laughter, tears and chatter. We have had lots of play dates this week which has been lovely. We also spent the day with family on Wednesday we had some food and a potter and it was great – I feel so lucky to have such lovely sisters and parents.

I also heard storm Dorris – eek I was pretty please I didn’t have to do the school run in that! We cancelled our plans yesterday as the weather was so bad. I was worried it was going to be a long day but we actually had a nice time although by the afternoon the girls were begging to play outside.

Wore

I have been deliberating whether or not to buy some dungarees – so I ordered some from H&M and I kind of love them! I haven’t worn them yet but I have the feeling once I start I will have them on all the time.

Made

I have made a decision – I am a much happier Mummy when I don’t have to do the school run!

We have also made some biscuits which turned out to be a bit of a disaster – we still ate them though obviously. I often look in awe at the parents who bake these amazing creations with their children mine always look a little crazy (I should of taken a picture and then you would understand).

And Lastly

We are all looking forward to a little bit of family time with Daddy this weekend as we have not seen very much of him at all this week. Hopefully we will see a little bit of sunshine too.

How has your week been?

  1. I’m so glad Doris passed us by here, doesn’t sound like much fun at all! Sounds like you’ve had a lovely half term together. I’d love to do the dungaree thing although I fear I’d look like a fat farmer, maybe once I’ve dropped a few dress sizes… Have a great weekend! x

  2. Ooh do post a photo of the dungarees when you start to wear them, I want to get some too but haven’t got around to it yet and I’m not sure if I’m confident enough. Lia has some now though and she looks so cosy in them, I might just have to go for it.

  3. We were the same on the school run it was absolutely craziness dropping the kids off. Lovely photo so fun. We have also had a few baking disasters this week. Hurray for half term though and some rest. Hope you are having a great weekend. #littleloves

  4. I think we are all happier with the school run out of the equation! Must be hard on you with your husband not there much – I remember the long days with little ones a similar gap to yours. I think any baking at all is a major achievement so well done! X
