A Saturday Morning Bike Ride

A Saturday Morning Bike Ride

I haven’t done a weekend post in quite a while so I thought I would share a little of my Saturday Morning.

We haven’t had many family weekends of late. My husband has been building a summer house for the girls, which has consumed much of his time.  We have therefore been spending a bit more time with my sisters and their children, which has been nice. However, we have missed our little bit of family time together. The lazy mornings, the adventures and days just pottering around together.

On Saturday, the girls were spending the evening at their Nana’s so me and Hubbie could have a little date night.  So, whilst the sun was shining in the morning, we decided to take them out for a little bike ride. They both love their bikes – Meme is amazing and Harri is also now whizzing around on her balance bike. We are pretty sure she will be ready for a proper bike in no time. It was a lovely morning stopping for cake (of course) at a local cafe. However, in true British summer style the weather soon turned and we got soaked through on the way back!

It was a perfect way to start the weekend.

  1. Ah these are such lovely pictures. What a lovely day and the cakes! Yummy! Thanks for linking up to #PointShoot x

  2. Bike rides are always fun, aren’t they? Love their matching raincoats and helmets 🙂 So cute! You guys are so lucky, I don’t even remember the last time we had a date night 😉 #countrykids

    1. Thanks lovely I love them matching although I am not sure how much longer I will get away with it for. It was our first in a while – it was much needed!

  3. Date night sounds like a winner and how fun for the girls to have their own summer house. A family bike ride sounds the perfect start to your weekend and cake too as a little treat. So typically England to end in rain, I’m sure the girls didn’t mind though.

Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKids
