Autumn fashion

January…the longest month of the year…and how to survive it.

I get the January blues every single year. It is a long, miserable and after the excitement of December a very flat month, the hangover period some would say. So I have been thinking of a few ways that may help to pick you up a little, here goes:

Tulips and Daffodils

Two of my favourite flowers are in bloom in January so I tend to buy a few bunches every week to brighten up my home, daffodils are so affordable you can actually buy a bunch for every single room (Which I do by the way) and they always bring a smile to my face.

Book a holiday

I always find the Winter months long so I always try to book a little adventure so I have something to look forward to. I have even took out a small loan before with Cash Lady which enabled me to purchase a holiday at a low price which I then paid off  straight away once I’d been paid. Knowing I have got a little holiday booked definitely gives me a spring in my step.

Christmas nights out…in January

I struggled to get out and about with my friends before Christmas due to being poorly and clashing schedules. So we rearranged to meet in January which worked out perfectly because so many restaurants (GUSTO being our favourite) offer discounted food and drinks at this time of year making it much more affordable and something to look forward to during this long month, so it is the start of a new tradition I think!

January Sales

Again it is the time of the year when you can get so many bargains that will no doubt bring a smile to your face. I have just bought a few lovely bits in the sale from ASOS  – there is nothing better than buying your favourite jumper for half the price!!

New Year, New You

Cliche I know but there is nothing that will lift your spirits more than some exercise and healthy food. Go for that morning run or start a new pilates class at the gym. I have been trying to limit my chocolate intake and as boring as it sounds I definitely feel better for it.

And remember January doesn’t last forever, before long Spring and sunshine will be insight, so stay positive!
