Life Lately – Autumn 2018.

Life Lately – Autumn 2018.

I feel like I don’t write about my little ones  as much, I’ve gotten out of the habit of writing about our days and milestones which is crazy because they are reasons that I started my blog. Capturing these special moments and watching them grow. As always, life is super busy, I am not sure there will ever be a point when it wont be, especially whilst they are still so little and so dependant on us.

Autumn has been a flurry of back to school and new routines and of course a very special trip to DisneyLand Paris. We are now already in a new season and hurtling towards a new year – I remember last Christmas so vividly it is hard to believe that it was a year ago.

Autumn seen my Meme turn 8. Since starting juniors she does seem so much older an independent. She has such sensible head on her shoulders and I do wish she would enjoy the moment a little more. She loves being around me and I love that. She is such a lovely big sister but I am noticing that she likes to spend time on her own a little more, reading or chilling, much to Harri’s disappointment.

Harri has started year one and after a little encouragement started dancing and rainbows which she adores. She is so much more outgoing than Meme but is really shy and reluctant starting new things. I know she is still only young and this will hopefully change. She loves to play and I know I say this often but she is such a ray of sunshine.

Alfie is still his crazy self – so much fun though! He runs around the house usually bumping into something along the way. His speech is coming on so well and it’s lovely to hear his little voice. I have noticed he is starting to play more and loves wheeling little cars around the house. We still have tantrums but not as many which is a relief oh and he is a sleeper often having two hours naps every day!!!

I started the new school year with a few little resolutions which were really going well until about a month ago. Me and Alf spend the end of November full of cold resulting in jobs slipping and falling back into my disorganised ways. I will get there though.

I am sorry to see the back of Autumn – it’s definitely my favourite season – I have so many beautiful captures and lots of memories made, naturally we have had the usual upsets. Friend fall outs, nasty germs and of course disappointments. I try to explain to Meme that we all get disappointed at times and it’s ok to feel sad for a moment, but it is hard seeing them upset – yet it is all part of growing up.

So before we get caught up in all of the festive posts here are some of my favourite Autumn moments:

  1. That first picture is just adorable! I’m so jealous you went to Disneyland, we’re going in nine months and seeing all of your pictures makes me so impatient!
Thank you for sharing this with us at #TriumphantTales. I hope to see you back next week!

  2. It sounds (and looks) like you’ve had a really lovely and busy Autumn (apart from the germs!!) And that orange coat is divine!! I remember commenting on that on Instagram!!! #KCACOLS
