What’s New in Fashion?

Expect to fall in love with the autumn/winter 2018 fashion trends, which you may soon discover in high street shops, high-end stores and on celebrities within the next few months.

The latest trends will soon be finding their way to your favourite retailers and will become part of this season’s street style. So, if you are looking to don the hottest looks of the season, find out what’s new in fashion below.

Animal Print

Animal print is going to be big this season, as it has recently featured on a considerable number of catwalks in London, NYC, Paris and Milan. One of the most popular options with both shoppers and retailers alike will be leopard print, which is set to appear on shoes, coats and dresses. Many high street shops are already stocking animal print, so get yours while you can!

However, don’t be surprised to find zebra, cheetah, python, snake and faux-croc patterns on the high street. While many will feature classic tones, there will also be some multicoloured options to choose from, which will have been inspired by fashion designer Tom Ford’s recent
collection.

The Reefer Pea Coat

Winter is a matter of weeks away and temperatures have already started to dip across the country, so the time might have come to invest in a high-quality coat. If you want to look chic and stylish this season, look no further than the classic reefer pea coat, which is smart, sophisticated and stylish. The premium fabric from Gloverall.com will also help to protect you from cold weather conditions.

Various Shades of Brown

Brown is the new black this autumn/winter. 70s fashion will be all the rage this season, and has made its appearance on the A/W 18 runways. The likes of Fendi and Chloé have inspired the use of the colour, which is synonymous with the decade, so don’t be surprised to discover chocolate, beige or other brown shades on clothing and accessories in high street stores near you.

Slouchy Boots

As mentioned, fashion is currently undergoing a 70s revival, which is why the slouchy boot will become the biggest footwear trend this season. The good news is, the retro design makes it a doddle to tuck your jeans or trousers into the boots. There are, however, other boot styles you can expect to find in retailers this winter, such as snake-print boots, cowboy boots and, of course, knee-high boots, which are a seasonal staple.

Crystals

Unleash your inner magpie by investing in clothing and accessories adorned with crystals for autumn/winter ‘18. Some of the coolest designers in fashion are adding crystals to their garments, footwear and accessories. For example, Gucci is focusing on giant jewels, while
high street retailers will be dripping many of their lines in faux diamonds.

Plaid

Add a touch of warmth and texture to your clothing this season by adorning stunning plaid designs. London Fashion Week proudly showcased punky tartan blouses this year, while New York Fashion Week focused on preppy plaid designs. The checked fabric can offer a splash of character and rock ‘n’ roll to your look, so treat yourself to a plaid scarf, skirt or blouse this autumn/winter.
