Moments from my weekend – A little heatwave

Moments from my weekend – A little heatwave

Wow a heatwave in April – this weather keeps on surprising us. However I am not complaining, with Saturday forecast as being the last day of hot sunshine we knew we had to make the most of it. We were in the car by 10.30am (no easy feat with 3 children) and headed to Bodnant Gardens for a day of fun.

Bodnant gardens is absolutely stunning – it actually reminds me of being in the French countryside. It is full of vibrant colours and beautiful scents – I generally spend the whole time there saying how pretty it is. My girls always enjoy it there too, there is no park inside the gardens and there was no children’s activities to do but I actually think it is one of their favourite places to visit  – they spent most of the day chattering away to each other picking up petals that had fallen.

We pottered around, had water gun fights and ate ice cream. The weather was glorious, and it was lovely to watch all three siblings play together. It was a real taste of Summer and it has made me feel so excited for our holidays.

  1. Your photos are always so stunning. Bodnant Gardens looks gorgeous and I’m glad you managed to make the most of the sunshine. Hope it stays longer than predicted!

  2. Really interesting to hear that the girls loved this place despite the lack of things laid on especially for children. Free play and nature is often all they need in these days of screens and activity trails, which have their place, but lovely to hear your girls simply picking up petals!! #CountryKids

  3. All beautiful shots but my fave is the last one. I love that view. The good weather was very welcome roll on summer 💕 Thank you for linking up to #PointShoot 📸
