Last week we went on our second adventure of the year (2 adventures in 2 months is good going!) We booked a little week away in Cornwall for the half term. It took over 5 hours to get there in a very very busy car, but it was well worth the journey, Cornwall is such a beautiful part of the country and a place we have never visited before.
My husband wanted to visit Lands End – so on Tuesday we packed some lunch and drove the hour it took us to get there. Truthfully we weren’t expecting much – I guess it is one of those places it is good to say you have been, however it ending up being one of favourite days.
There was a few attractions that you could do including a 4D cinema and The Shaun the Sheep Experience. There is a great park which my girls loved and although it was so windy and cold they barely noticed, there is a lovely cafe to warm up in on cold days but for us the best part of Lands End was the view, oh the view is spectacular. We were lucky that the skies were blue and sun was shining – and it made for a really lovely day.
Lands End is now ticked off so where is next….John O Groats?
Never been, but @d love to go. What beautiful blue skies you had. #mysundayphoto
what a fabulous day to visit – great pictures. Reminds me of my visit years ago.
It looks like you had perfect weather, I love visiting Cornwall
Thank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto
Ah well done for doing it. We intended to go in summer and then decided not to bother but I’d love to visit one day!!
Looks like you had the best day for it. I’ve never been but would like to
Fab photo! We go to Cornwall every year, but we’ve never been to Lands End. I imagine it would be horrendous there in summer!
That is a fantastic place to visit and it looks like you picked a perfect day for it. x
I love cornwall too and I am so glad you got to have such a lovely little adventure together! Sounds lush! Whilst I have been there a few times, I haven’t been to the end haha you’re right though, certainly a must see! Glad it was a lovely day x #OrdinaryMoments
What and you didn’t come and see me! I never think there is much at Lands End but a photo by that sign and a good look at the coastline is a must. I’m glad you had a good visit to our lovely county.
Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKids
Oh it looks so beautiful. And there’s nothing better than a rugged coastline on a cold winter’s day.
Nat.x
Do you know we’ve lived here in Cornwall for almost a decade now and have yet have never been to Land’s End? Must, must visit soon! I’m so glad the weather was good when you guys came down! 😉 Lovely photos too 🙂 #countrykids
We recently visited Cornwall and loved our trip. We didn’t make it as far as Lands End only to Newquay but we can’t wait to return to explore x #CountryKids x
I’ve done both over the years, John O’Groats was certainly less commercialised (but that was years ago). There’s something magical about getting there though isn’t there #CountryKids
Cornwall is our happy place. My husband and I went to Lands End when I was pregnant with my eldest – there is something quite breath-taking about being at the very tip of the UK isn’t there?
it really does look like the perfect day to visit. And what a lovely family adventure. #countrykids
Land’s End is beautiful and the views are stunning. We did Land’s End to John O’Groats by train and bus with our girls a couple of years ago and it was so much fun. John O’Groats has fewer attractions than Land’s End and is much less touristy. There is a cafe and a gift shop but not a lot else. It does have beautiful views across to Orkney though. You can also have your photo taken standing next to the sign without having to pay for it! #countrykids
We’ve yet to see this place as a family but are keen to now #MySundayPhoto
We loved Cornwall too – and the blue sky was amazing! But, we didn’t make it to Lands End this time. Looks like you had the perfect trip x
Ive been to cornwall many times for holidays but have never gone as far as Lands End. #pointshoot
Looks gorgeous that’s for sure and 2 in 2 months is definitely good going!
I really want to explore Cornwall one day. looks like you had a great day. #myfamilyadventures
