Cold days and Snow Drops.

Cold days and Snow Drops.

It was a cold cold weekend. I always forget that February can be a really cold month (I have no idea why I think this!!). After a day of rain on Saturday we woke up to more wet weather on Sunday. Now we aren’t the kind of family who lets a little rain keep us indoors, so wrapped up in some warm clothes we pottered to our happy place for a little run around.

We found ourselves on a little Snowdrop trail – we love snowdrops, once the new year is here we start to look for these little signs of Spring. Now they are everywhere, so pretty and so delicate.

We spent the morning hopping from hut to hut trying to avoid the rain – my girls love doing this. It was a lovely morning spent together, despite the weather.

How are you spending your weekends during these cold months?

  1. Beautiful photos. I’ve been hoping to spot somewhere with loads of snowdrops together but haven’t found anywhere yet and they’ll be gone soon. Maybe next year! We love to get outdoors at this time of year too, need to blow the cobwebs away!

  2. What a gorgeous way to spend some quality time together as a family! I loved the bridge capture 💕 Thank you for linking up to #PointShoot 📸

  3. It has been a cold and wet start to the year. Like you I’m reluctant to let this keep us indoors. Our snowdrops are lining the farm beautifully. Not enough to make a real snowdrop trail but lovely to see along the woodland paths. Your girls look beautifully wrapped up against the cold and happy to be outdoors, I hope it warms up for us all soon though.

Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKids

  4. I’d go insane if I stopped indoors for too long! We love to head into the woods now we have a 2 year old it’s a great adventure! Love your photos, my son just says it’s snowing when we ask them what snowdrops are!! #countrykids
