Christmas 2017

Christmas 2017

So here we are, the last few days of November remaining. It is almost that amazing time of the year again. I am a huge Christmas person, I love it all. Deciding on those special presents for those special people in my life, the hustle and bustle of shopping, all wrapped up warm in the cold December weather, putting the tree up and making our home look festive.

Now I am a Mum I find Christmas is even more amazing. Watching my girls get excited for the big day, visiting Father Christmas and seeing the magic in their eyes, because it really is magic isn’t it. I know as my girls get older we won’t have many years left of believing in Father Christmas (sob) so I definitely want to cherish these as long as possible.

Last year I was heavily pregnant with Alfie and the festive period was pretty much filled with false alarms, sleepless nights and a whole lot of waiting. I obviously still enjoyed Christmas but it wasn’t the same and, with Alfie not arriving before Christmas when he was due, I didn’t feel like I could fully relax. I was tired, fed up and anxious waiting for him to arrive.

Now this Christmas my baby is here and it is our first one as a family of five. It has been a tough few months with a lot of change going on, but I know that this Christmas will be more special than ever. Lots of fun and laughter and, more importantly, family time. Making some family traditions and memories together.

So roll on December…. I can’t wait.
