My little girl

My girls had different Easter holidays this year, as Meme returned to school Harri was starting her week off from preschool.

Harri only goes to preschool 15 hours a week so I am lucky to spend quite a bit of time with her. However, the thought of having the whole week together left me feeling a little apprehensive. Harri is a bundle of fun and so sweet but she is full on and keeping her entertained can be a little tough at times – I guess we are both quite similar and need a little break from each other from time to time.

We spend a lot of time outdoors and going to parks so, for a change, I took her to the Museum of Liverpool. I used to go lots with Meme but now I have to work around school runs we don’t visit as often. I feel guilty for this, we have plenty of time to still go for a few hours – yes, it may be a rush but it’s no excuse.

We went and we had a lovely day together. We talked, we explored, we played – it was a lovely day. There was no tantrums, no ‘I’m bored’ complaints and no arguments. It dawned on me Harri is growing up, she just needs more stimulation. Now and again she needs more than parks and beaches. She is ready to learn and I guess my baby girl is ready for school.

So before I lose her to full time education in September I am going to make the effort to take her to different places and to definitely make the most of our time together because I know these  last few months together will be over within a blink of an eye.

  1. Lovely photos! And how nice that you had such a great day out together. I know what you mean about time restrictions though, I always feel a bit stressed about trying to do anything with Nerys in the morning before I have to take her to school for the afternoon. x #LivingArrows
