It feels like we are on constant countdown for the weekend in out house – after enjoying a lovely week of sunshine we were excited for Saturday to come so our lovely Daddy could join in so fun and after a stressful week in the office he was more than ready for a break.
Some Saturdays we like to get up and out nice and early and spend the whole day somewhere but sometimes it is nice to take things at a slower place, this was once of those days. After rushing all week doing the school run and rushing to work we decided to take Saturday nice and easy. The sun was shining so we took our time with tea in bed then pottering in the garden before dressing and going out for a few hours.
We decided to got to Bodelwyddan Castle, we go often and I have wrote about it before but on days like these it is perfect. We only live about 40 minutes away for Harri to have a little nap but not too far that Meme gets fed up in the car. Another reason we love it there is because it is never that busy, I hate over crowded places (such a Mum thing to say). We stayed for a few hours playing croquet (well our version of it), piggy in the middle and playing in the park. It was really lovely and before we knew it, it was time to go home. Here are some of our pictures:
Gorgeous photos from you’re relaxed Saturday together. The play area looks great fun and all those lovely Meadows to run across. See you at country kids on Saturday, popping bite to date from #Pointshoot
I agree overcrowded places don’t entice me either. Didn’t realise it was a mum thing though. Lovely photos of your children. Thanks for sharing #PointShoot
Relaxing days are sometimes the best, no expectations, just take it as it comes. I love the photo through the tube X #pointshoot
Looks like a lovely day. Sometimes we all need to relax and just enjoy the moment. #whatevertheweather
Looks like a nice place to play and the place looks massive too an endless space to run and enjoy the sunshine =) #whatevertheweather #pointshoot
I love the daisy chain crown, it’s one of summer bucket list activities that Annie suggested.
Thanks for linking up with Point + Shoot xx
